Environment Variable Support for Response Data

Currently in Yaak, we are extracting values using response body paths. However, this approach is less flexible compared to tools like Postman.

We would like to request a feature that allows storing response data directly into environment variables. This would enable us to reuse values (such as tokens, IDs, etc.) across multiple requests more efficiently, similar to how Postman handles variable storage.

Suggested Enhancement:

Allow assigning response values to environment variables automatically. Provide an easy way to reference these variables in subsequent requests. Improve workflow for chained API calls and dynamic data handling.

This feature would greatly enhance usability and streamline API testing workflows.
