When I am not at the Root node, "Introspect Schema" does not apply updates to the child nodes.

Are you able to include a full schema?

I asked ChatGPT to make it valid, then hardcoded it into Yaak and… it worked as you expected. Perhaps there something else in your schema that conflicts with those types? Perhaps a parent type?

Thank you for your quick reply. I found that this is actually a refresh issue; when I am not at the Root node, "Introspect Schema" does not apply updates to the child nodes.
